For the first time ever, there is a dreidel game available for the iPhone/iPod/iPad that features an Israeli dreidel! Just in time for Hanukkah 2010, the people who brought the world the popular and fun game Super Dreidel have released Super Dreidel Israel Edition HD.
The letters on each side of a dreidel represent two things. First, they represent rules of the game. Second, they form an acronym for Nes Gadol Hayah Sham, “A Great Miracle Happened There.” In Israel, most dreidels replace the Shin with a Pei, changing the acronym to Nes Gadol Hayah Po, “A Great Miracle Happened Here.” This is why there are two editions of the Super Dreidel game, one representing the dreidels found in Israel and one representing the dreidels found outside Israel.
